Our staff is dedicated to assisting the firm's clients. The staff is also trained in working with the attorneys in preparing and researching legal cases, communicating with the courts regarding current and future cases and organizing most aspects of the law firm.
Joanna was born in Austin, Texas and grew up in Albuquerque, where she attended high school and college. She graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1997, and began her legal career in 1998, working in bankruptcy law. Joanna moved to Portland, Oregon in 2001 and worked in Oregon and Washington state and federal courts, supporting multiple partners in bankruptcy, creditors' rights, and business litigation. In addition to her work in the legal field, Joanna served as the Chorus Manager for Opera Southwest, an Albuquerque opera company she performed with for years. She joined The Bregman Law Firm, P.C. in 2004, and is an essential part of the firm's legal team.
Joanna assists the attorneys in handling a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, including legal research, discovery, and drafting pleadings, as well as the firm's busy collections practice. Joanna works closely with our clients in pursuing collection of accounts, working with them through the judicial process, and assisting them with post-judgment collection efforts.
In her spare time, Joanna enjoys travel, reading, music, film, gardening, baking, singing, playing her piano and flute, and cooking.
Liz is an Albuquerque native who joined The Bregman Law Firm, P.C. in 2018, bringing with her a wealth of experience, working for over thirty years in various areas of law. In addition to the valuable dedication she has brought to her work in the legal field, Liz also assisted the US Army Reserves Family Support group during Operation Freedom, and conducted fundraisers to send care packages to loved ones. Liz also owned and operated a deli in the Uptown area for five years, and she has always enjoyed interacting with the community.
Liz assists the firm in various ways with its Criminal, Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Wrongful Death, Employment, and Collections practices including scheduling, monitoring deadlines, requesting, collecting, and organizing medical records, e-filing, client relations, debt collection, discovery, and trial preparation.
In her spare time, Liz enjoys camping, cooking, and watching sports, particularly cheering on her beloved Dallas Cowboys.
